Mount Edgecumbe Presiding

The view of our neighborhood, friends:

Mount Edgecumbe Presiding, Joel Brady-Power.

Cap’n J got this one a few evenings ago. Mount Edgecumbe never fails to bring a smile to my face. On April 1st, that smile expands to a chuckle as I remember our volcano’s role in one of the most elaborate hoaxes of all time. Enjoy the story, friends, and enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

That story of burning a stack of tires in a volcano as an April fool’s joke is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked it, Bill! Thanks for visiting; always good to meet a new friend. I just stopped by your blog, and was so impressed with your photos. Looking forward to seeing more!

Yep, she’s been looking awfully good since we got up here. Today’s been the first day in over the week that she’s been mostly cloud-covered. Hope all’s good for you, Pierr!

Funny how now the penalty for such a prank would be phenomenal. At still more fishing meetings. These meetings are getting more and more tiresome.

I’ve thought about that too, Joel, and as fond as I am of the story, cringe at the thought of the impact. What a stench, and what a mess that must’ve been…

My friend Andrianna commented last night, “Tires, though? Couldn’t he find something less toxic? Maybe in the whole scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter.” (A, I approved your comment last night and am baffled as to why it didn’t appear… Weird glitch.)

Hang in there, Joel. May there be a bunch of big kings in your future soon.
